Comprehensive Plan
PUBLIC WORKSHOP – TOWN OF SUMMERFIELD COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
The Town of Summerfield NC Invites Public Input for the Updated Comprehensive Plan
The Summerfield Planning Department invites all residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to public outreach meetings to help shape the future of our community through the update of the Town of Summerfield Comprehensive Plan.
The workshops will on April 8 and 16, 2026 at the SUMMERFIELD COMMUNITY CENTER located at 5404 CENTERFIELD ROAD from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range policy document establishing a 20 to 30-year vision for Summerfield. It provides essential policy guidance for future growth, resource protection, land use, infrastructure, housing and non-residential development. This document is also required by North Carolina General Statute § 160D-501 as a foundation for adopting local zoning regulations.
Community input is the cornerstone of this planning process. Staff are continuing to use multiple outreach models to ensure this Plan accurately captures the community’s vision for responsible growth and addresses the unique needs of residents.
During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to review current community data, participate in interactive visioning exercises, and share their priorities for Summerfield’s future.
Staff look forward to seeing you at the workshops and hearing your ideas on Summerfield’s future.
