Town Charter

The charter is a legal document that established Summerfield and outlines key legalities of its governance. It began life in 1996 when the town incorporated and formal/legislative actions have changed throughout the years to reflect the will of citizens. A key change went into effect in 2008 when the form of government changed from a Mayor-Council format to a Council-Manager form.
