RE: Guilford County Superior Court Release of Civil Complaint

Summerfield, NC - It has come to the attention of the Town that an unredacted copy of its civil complaint against two former employees was recently released to a reporter who requested a copy from the Guilford County Superior Court Clerk’s Office. The Town had no role in the release of the complaint; and in accordance with state laws protecting personnel information, the Town has taken every measure to ensure its court filings remain sealed.

 Although these records have been released, the Town remains bound by state personnel laws and cannot comment on these matters. The Town reaffirms its commitment to pursuing justice and accountability through the legal measures currently underway.
