FEMA Approves Guilford County Hazard Mitigation Plan

FEMA has approved the updated Guilford County Hazard Mitigation Plan, which includes the Town of Summerfield as a participating jurisdiction.

The plan identifies the hazards that pose the greatest risks to our community and serves as a guide for reducing those risks through mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts. FEMA approval also helps participating jurisdictions remain eligible to apply for certain federal hazard mitigation grant programs.
