Touch-a-Truck
When:Summerfield Touch-A-Truck is a free, hands-on family event occurring on Saturday, October 29 from 10am to 12:30pm. The event will be at Summerfield Athletic Park, 5200 US 220 North. There will be a wide variety of vehicles in one location for children to view, climb on, ask questions and learn about vehicles they see moving around their community. This event allows children the opportunity to explore all types of vehicles-public service, emergency, military, construction, transportation, recreational, delivery and more. Each vehicle will have a trained operator present for children and families to ask questions and learn how each vehicle helps our community. This event will also provide children the chance to use their imagination while pretending to be various community workers.
Be sure to bring the kids to Touch-A-Truck. In addition to Kona Ice who will sell shaved ice, Vulcan Materials will provide hot dogs for free!
