Christmas Tree Lighting Event
When:Join us for Summerfield's Christmas Tree Lighting Event!
There will be carols by Greensboro Performing Arts, a performance by Bella Ballerina dancers, light food, drinks, S'mores by a cracklin' bonfire, and Santa Claus!!! This free event is at our Athletic Park (5200 US-220N).
Please join the Town and Summerfield Merchants Association in collecting food for the Guilford Backpack Ministry program. This program works directly with 12 local schools in helping families in need. We will be collecting canned vegetables; canned fruit; canned tuna (5 oz); canned chicken (12.5 oz); canned beef stew (15-20 oz); soup; ramen; spaghetti noodles (16 oz); spaghetti sauce (can only, no glass); mac-n-cheese; Knorr Pasta Sides; instant mashed potatoes (4 oz); bags of rice (1 or 2 lb); applesauce (plastic only); individually-wrapped snacks; juice boxes; boxes of cereal; instant oatmeal packets; granola bars or cereal bars; peanut butter (plastic only); jelly (20 oz, plastic only); peanut butter crackers.
