Due to a Family Emergency, the Planning and Training Session scheduled for Monday, September 22nd has been cancelled.
The event will be rescheduled for sometime in the future.
PLANNING AND ZONING TRAINING SESSION
As we are preparing to update the Town's Unified Development Ordinance and Comprehensive Land Use Plan, the Town attorney will be leading this training session for the Town Council, the Planning Board, and the Board of Adjustment on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at 6:00PM. The training is intended to help participants understand planning and zoning laws and regulations.
Although only the Town’s elected and appointed officials will be able to participate in the training, we encourage the public to attend. The meeting will be held in the Summerfield Community Center (5404 Centerfield Drive, Summerfield, NC 27358).
NOTICE OF POSSIBLE QUORUM
A quorum of the Town Council, Planning Board, and the Board of Adjustment for the Town of Summerfield, NC, are expected to attend this event. However, this event is an informal assembly for the purpose of education, not an official meeting. These bodies will not conduct any hearings, participate in any public business deliberations, or vote upon or otherwise transact any public business, in compliance with the North Carolina Open Meetings Act.
