Resolutions

Resolutions are a special or temporary order of the Town Council requiring less legal formality than an ordinance or statute.  Generally a resolution is used to establish an official position on events outside of the Council's control ie, a rate increase by a local utility provider, or a resolution may be used for special recognition of an individual or group that has made a differnce in the community.
