Senior Resources of Guilford County programs in Summerfield include monthly lunches and activities.

Summerfield Senior Men Coffee & Conversation:  This group meets the first and third Thursday of each month at Summerfield Community Center, 5404 Centerfield Road from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Rural Outreach Luncheon:  Held the third Thursday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - following the Men's Coffee.  This event is also at the Summerfield Community Center, 5404 Centerfield Road.

Seniors' Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP)

The Seniors' Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) answers questions and counsels Medicare beneficiaries and caregivers about Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage, Medicare prescription drug plans, long-term care insurance and other health insurance concerns.

SHIIP counselors offer free and unbiased counseling on Medicare health care products. To schedule an appointment, call Chris Mitchell-McFadyan, the Guilford County SHIIP Coordinator, at 336-373-4816 ext. 253.
